Regarding probation exam

I want to ask whether one can take probation(Dept) and Hindi exam while he is on leave.
Not joined new posting even after joining time (relieved from previous post) due to some personal problems. Can I write probation exam in this condition.

Pursue the service rules and regulations of the establishment where you are employed.
If you wish to get the qualification recorded in service records then it is advisable that prior information and approval be sought and obtained...............to avoid any misconduct being alleged.
If you have not joined next...................then it should also be with due intimation and approval...
Consult your counsel alongwith copy of your service rules................

You are not an employee of the new organisation until you join in it duly reporting for duty. Hence any departmental examinations which are meant for the emplyees, cannot be undertaken by you. Better you report to the new employer and get his consent for taking-up these examinations.

Your proposed action may raise eye brow and even it may be considered as act violating the service regulations or rules. Better follow the laid down procedure in this regard o be on the safer side.
