Property tax on carpet area -hc

IN today newspaper published news that property tax will be levied on the basis of the carpet area .
our society already collected property tax on the basis of the super built up .
Can we have to ask to refund the excess amount paid to him by all co-op members ?
or this amt will be remained with society ?

what is the practical solution ?

property tax is always levied on basis of carpet area . BMC submits assessment order to society . the said order mention carpet area of each flat . on basis of said area BMC levies property tax .

Clim the excess paid amount, if the assessment notice received from BMC is showing less liability on you and you have paid more.
