Mobile number portability

(Querist) 27 June 2013 This query is : Resolved
I was having Airtel post-paid connection for last 10 years. On 60602013 I got it changed to pre-paid plan of the same operator i.e. Airtel. Now I wish to change my operator but Airtel is saying that since you have not completed the 90 days ,( it seems that migration to pre-paid is being considered as new connection by Airtel) your request for MNP can not be entertained. Is it right? Kindly advice and guide me.
Adv Archana Deshmukh (Expert) 27 June 2013
Yes, it is true that you cannot change the existing operator within 90 days as per rules. If migration to another plan is considered as new connection then, wait for completion of 90 days.

Agreed with the expert Adv Archana ji. Nothing more to add.

It is the policy of an individual company which do not relate with us.

Sorry to say, advice of all the experts is wrong.I got my mobile operator changed. The restriction of 90 days is applicable only when you change the operator. If the operator is same only plan has been changed then 90 days shall be counted from the day one has joined that operator ir-respective of the plan he had chosen.
Regards
