Why DRP?Also u/s 148 if amount reassessed exceeds 1 lac,is it compulosry for AO to give notice inviting objection if any from assesse?

1.WE filed reply u/s 148.now that AO assessment order is find objectionable on ground of denial of opportunity to present evidence,can we go for DRP?
2.if demand order changes the original sum exeeding 1 lac,is it compulosry for AO to give notice inviting objection if any from assesse?
