Service tax on transport services

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 03 January 2012 This query is : Resolved 
I am providing transport services to various companies for carrying their employees from their houses to the company and vice versa. Whether Service Tax is payable? I could not find any head of taxable services given in Service Tax Act in which this transportation by buses is covered.

Transport other goods carriage, as defined in the Motor Vehicles Act, is not liable to service tax.
