hello...i've bought jewellery few days back from a jeweller in banglore...i've given some of my old jewellery also along with cash.at the time of purchase he evaluated the old jewellery for 52,457 rupees and adjust that amount in total coast.after a week that jeweller again called up my husband and said that the gold which we've given has impurities so it'll cost around 20,000 rupees only and ask for rest of 32000 rupees.he said he has testing certificate also..what should we do now?i wanna know that such certificates r how much reliable? coz my old jewellery i bought from a reputed jeweller n its hard for me to believe tht it has impurities nd if it was impure why he took tht jewellery from us n evaluated it 52000 n now suddenly he evaluated it even less than half of d amount.he is a big name, reputed jeweller so hw is it possible that at that time he didn't recognize d gold which has such amount of impurity ...how can i believe tht he is showing us the report of our gold only..he can give some other piece for testing..he has trapped us in such way that we don't know hw to come out of dis prob??

As advised by Khaleed, you are required to orally refute the charges of the jeweller and let him initiate legal action against you. Socially, you should bring the true facts before general persons and especially some customers of that Jeweller which shall pressuris him and he may dropt any idea to go ahead.

Did not he billed you on purchase date by an amount showing sale to you and then adjusting value of your old Jewell of Rs52,457.
Any way he is taking a wrong stand. What is guarantee,he has got tested only your Jewell.???????????????
Do not pay any thing to him.
