Type of Paper used in Supreme Court

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 08 October 2010 This query is : Resolved
Sir,
IN supreme Court whether only A4 size paper is permitted to use?
As Supreme Court give its certify copies of judgments only in A4 size only

Is there is any harm if we used legal paper rather than A4 size paper for the pleadings before the supreme court of India?
R.Ramachandran (Expert) 08 October 2010
Before the Supreme Court and even in High Courts, only Legal Size paper is to be used.

I don't have any experience in supreme court practise. Even i think no special mention about the papers.. Even if its legal size mean its wil be some better. Because its became as unwrittened custom.

Yes. I also agree with the experts that there is no specific provision for use of papers in any courts. But general practice in all courts is usage of only legal size papers and not A4 size.
Parthasarathi Loganathan (Expert) 09 October 2010
A4 is the approved size permitted by the Supreme Court.
