Dear Sir,
I Dr. Amit Pandey (Oncologist - Cancer Specialist) along with some of my friends (all from medical field) are planning to form a charitable trust. We are not able to decide to form a private charitable or a public trust. Our motto is to provide free treatment to cancer patients. Fund will be sponsored by different companies and donors.
Also how much will be the cost of formation of the trust. I am from Mumbai.

Your Idea is for good cause, for getting tax benefits etc. better you should have public charitable trust. Better contact a taxation lawyer who can guide you from the point of the Income-tax as well as service tax besides the Society Registration under Trust Act.
