Registered or unregistered

Dear sir,

I have enter into an Lease agrement with the tenant and paid proper stamp duty, but i did not registered this agreement, my question is
IS THIS AGREEMENT VALID, BECAUSE I HAVE PAID PROPER STAMP DUTY

If lease period is one or more than one year than lease deed should be registered.

EVERY LEASE IS REQUIRED TO BE SUFFICIENTLY STAMPED.

ALL THOSE LEASES WHOSE PERIOD IS BEYOND A YEAR ARE REQUIRED TO BE REGISTERED.ON THOSE LEASES PAYING SUFFICIENT DUTY IS ONLY ONE PART OF LEGAL ACTIVITY AND GETTING THEM REGISTERED IS THE OTHER.

Registration is mandatory beyond the period of one year but even if the lease could not be got registered due to misunderstanding, the agreement shall still stand valid for the purpose of rights of the parties.
