I'm working as welfare secretary in ap villege secretariat. I'm under medical leave since 4months. Shall I eligible to get transfers or shell I rejoin to get transfers? Higher officers are suggesting me to join but i couldn't due to my health condition. Please suggest me regarding this.....

If your transfer is on health grounds then you can state the same as a reason for your inability to attend the office for complying with the transfer formalities and seek permission and exemption accordingly

At present, there is a ban on transfers of Government employees. After relaxing the ban guidelines will be issued for transfers including serious medical problems. So as per guidelines you may apply for transfer. it is advisable to join the office after the expiry of your leave.

There are no statutory rules governing the issue. Moreover, transfer to a particular place is not a matter of right.

Medical leave entitlement is for limited period, which cannot be indefinite, you should join and submit your case for transfer.
