Divorce and maintenance

we were in a relationship for 3-4yrs and had consent sex. but later due to her aggressive, abusive and hostile behaviour i broke up with her. but she filed a false rape case and implicated me to marry her. after marriage she harasses me by writing letters to my superiors asking for maintenance, false accusitions and tortures me. gives suicidal threat so i dont live with her. and went to my parents house with gundas and threatened dire consequences to life and property. she is working and earning more than me. but asking for maintenance. m gng to file divorce. she is in chennai and i am in another city. pls advice me.

To claim maintenance one has to show that she is lawfully wedded wife of the person.
Mere physical relationship does not give such right.
So you can conveniently ignore such demands and on the contrary you can file defamation case for publicly maligning your image .

You have married her in pressure and the pressure in other matters is continued. She is earning more than you, she may not succeed in getting maintenance. She may file complaints of DV and 498A etc. If so go for anticipatory bail. If you feel it is not possible to live with her, do not bow before her ways.

However, it would be better if you try for amicable settlement and Mutual Consent Divorce.

just gather evidence hat she is working more than you . court wont grant her maintenance
