(Querist) 07 October 2021 This query is : Resolved
My custom department set up Vig. Inquiry under rule 14 for violation of miscuduct and misbehabiour . Also department is not allowing legal practioner as investigating officer is not legal practioner. Can depatment do so

Quick Summary
This discussion concerns a departmental vigilance inquiry initiated under rule 14 for misconduct. A key point of contention is the department's refusal to allow a legal practitioner to represent the charged officer, citing that the investigating officer is not a legal practitioner. The consensus is that further clarification is needed regarding the specific facts and whether the charged officer is being denied a legal defence assistant.
