Decided case copy

(Querist) 19 July 2020 This query is : Resolved
Can I apply for certify copy in decided case relating to someone else.
Quick Summary
You can apply for a certified copy of a decided court case, even if it relates to someone else. For civil cases, this is generally straightforward. If it's not a civil case, you may need to file an application with a vakalat (a document authorising a lawyer). Applying through your lawyer or as a party to the case is the usual method, and permission from the court is typically required only for pending cases.

if it is civil cases, get easily, otherwise filed copy application with vakalat.

Apply through your lawyer or parties in person to provide certified copy of desired document.
Dr J C Vashista (Expert) 20 July 2020
You will have to take permission of the concerned court on the application for certified copy if the case is pending, however, if it has been decided the party or their counsel can have the copy.

Yes, you can. It is better if the purpose of seeking copy i s also mentioned in the application.
