Contempt of court

if in a case the lawyer of opposite party X commits an offence of contempt.then can y being the lawyer opposite to X pleade to court to first decide the matter of contempt committed by X and then hear the case for which X and Y are pleading in court?

depends on discretion of court.u cannot force

court to do it.

yes you cannot order court in any cases

Both proceedings are separate and distinct and not dependent over the trial of each other. None can insist as desired.
