Dear Sir,

I was going to Badaun, UP from Ghaziabad by BUS in the last month.

The bus was stopped at Hotel Classic which is as bus stop in District Bulandshahr.

I purchased a Slice (Cold Drink) from shop which is situated in the premises of Hotel Classic. The price was mentioned on the bottle Rs.32/- but the shopkeeper is selling of Rs. 40/-.
I asked him that why he is taking extra Rs.8/- which is illegal, he told me with Vulgar Language that “LENA HAI TO LE RS.40/- KI HI MELEGI”.

Then I met to their Manager he also was a knave and same words he used with me “LENA HAI TO LE RS.40/- KI HI MELEGI”.

Sir, I want to know that how long we have to face this problem. Despite of many laws the people are be a law into oneself.

Sir, kindly help me so that I may take initiative and guide me who can listen me in this regards or where we can complaint for like this cases.

Even I went to Maharashtra, there was also the same condition on cold drink and water bottles.

you can lodge written complaint with the consumer forum against hotel classic . it would be directed to refrain from selling above MRP

It is believed that the Hotel did not issued you the cash memo as it is practice in general of such hotels. They provide free food, drink and other facilities etc, to bus staff and compensate it from passengers.

For filing case in consumer forum you have to engage a lawyer in local court there, have to visit time and again at that place.
It would cost you time wise and money wise much more than the expected relief.

You should write to local administration, roadways authority and State Transport department for this extra charging. You would be lucky if some positive action is taken by them.

Are you have the Bill for that purchases . First Send a notice to the concern shop and then you file a case before district consumer forum

Yes,your case comes under the purview consumer protection act.sec 2[1][c]is very clear File complaint before DCRF Bulandshahar [U.P]from where you purchased slice.see sec 2[1][c] as under:-
(c) “complaint” means any allegation in writing made by a complainant that-

1[(i) an unfair trade practice or a restrictive trade practice has been adopted by any trader;]

(ii) 1[the goods bought by him or agreed to be bought by him] suffer from one or more defect;

(iii) 1[the services hired or availed of or agreed to be hired or availed of by him] suffer from deficiency in any respect;

(iv) a trader has charged for the goods mentioned in the complaint a price in excess of the price fixed by or under any law for the time being in force or displayed on the goods or any package containing such goods;

2[(v) goods which will be hazardous to life and safety when used, are being offered for sale to the public in contravention of the provisions of any law for the time being in force requiring traders to display information in regard to the contents, manner and effect of use of such goods. with a view to obtaining any relief provided by or under this Act;

You have understood my view that the hotel facilitates to the Bus Driver and Conductors free of cost and compensate from passengers.

I have filed complaint online at core.nic.in and they have sent the acknowledgement and assured me to resolve the matter within 3 months.

Is they will work on that? or I should move to other authority.

file case in consumer forum only. Such authority as mentioned by you has no power to adjudicate the dispute if the company refuses to compensate you.
