compromise under o. 23 r.3 cpc

For any defendant to compromise iFor any defendant to compromise in suit under o.23 r.3 cpc , Is compulsory or not to admit plaintiff's claim ??? plz give me advice .. thnx.

there is no requirement for admissions or denial of plaintiff's case if the case is going to be compromised unless admission of claim of plaintiff is very basis of the compromise.

plaintiff's claim that he is a coparcenor in ancestral property nd have 1/3 share in disputed property and he want to his share declaretion against defendant no. 1 to 4 . at present in revenue records defendant no. 1 and defendant .no. 2 to 4 each are share holder on 1/2 part of disputed land. now present plaintiff nd defendant no. 2 to 4 are compromising but defendant no. 1 not.

defendant no. 1 to 4 jointly submitted written statement in court nd defence is that disputed property has come by dividation in favour of defendant no. 1 to 4. plaintiff deny any divadation .
