Cheque dishonor

Dear Sir/Madam, I had initiated legal proceedings against a man who had dishonored a check for Rs 1 Lac. Its been almost 2 years now and all I get is a next date every time the case comes for hearing. The judge very curtly tells me that "if I want the money then I should run around for getting it". I am contemplating withdrawing the case as I have lost faith in the judicial system to get me back my money and have stupidly spent about 30k already for the legal proceedings. Will I get my money back ever and what more can/should I do in getting my money back. Please help.

Do not loose faith in judiciary. The success f your case does not depend upon personal opinion of a particular Magistrate.
Pursue your case with renewed vigour.

Generally due to heavy rush in the courts, such time is not of much worth. You shall have to spend some more years to get the favourable relief.

I would suggest that you either change your lawyer or alternately, you should be present on each and every date in the Court. Make sure that your lawyer does not take a single adjournment for his non-availability. Make sure that every adjournment application filed by the Accused is objected to in writing. This should cut down a lot of time. If nothing works, get a better lawyer.

have you filed a summary suit yet . file it immediatedly or your claim would be barred by limitation in one years time .

due to heavy backlog of cases unfortunately long dates are given .

your lawyer cannot do any thing if magistrate is giving long dates .request for short dates
