Can I ask my lawyer for a certificate saying that there was no response to the public notice put up for a property on sale, where the lawyer was to receive any disputes before sale. What is this called in the legal language.

Such public notices are mere formalities and have not much force of law. The advocate is also not supposed to issue such Certificate as well.

I do not appreciat what the experts have to say. I have engaged a lawyer and the response to the public notice goes to the lawyer. When the lawyer receives some response it is his responsibility to share. But the client has to get a clear idea of responses received, and if response is not received, then a statement to that effect needs to be communicated to the client. What should be the method of such communication. Can it be a normal letter addressed to client, that no responses have been received against the subject public notice ?

He can intimate the client about the fact of receipt or non receipt of responses.
You shall not write u want certificate regarding this which can not be given by the advocate.
