What is the validity period of a DEPB license from the date of its issue. The 2004 to 2005 Policy at Para 4.33 stated that the validity of the license shall be 24 months.
In the Policy for the year 2005-2006 it stated that the validity "The validity period of DEPB for import shall be as prescribed in the Handbook (Vol.1)."
The HBP vol 1 at para 4.50 states No revalidation shall be granted beyond the original period of validity of DEPB unless it expires in the custody of the Licencing/ Customs Authorities as per the provisions under para 2.13 of the Handbook.
This statement has continued in the policy for 2009-2014 where Para 4.3.3 of FTP states Validity period of DEPB for import shall be as prescribed in HBP v1.
Para 4.50 of HPB Vol 1 states "No revalidation shall be granted beyond original period of
validity of DEPB unless it expires in custody of Regional /Customs Authorities as per paragraph 2.13 of HBP v1.
How do you determine what is the original period of validity.

Hello Sir,
I purchased a new Hyundai i20 car(in July month 2014). I took a zero depreciation insurance cover by paying extra amount at the time of purchase.Last month I met with an accident at Gooty while coming from Bangalore to Hyderabad.I spent 3 hours in call and no actual assistance is provided by Hyundai road side assistance and I ended up in getting car myself to Hyd in a truck by paying 25 k(not reimbursable).Accident is severe that engine got damaged ,frot bumpers and everything completely damaged, structurally all body is damaged since car rolled also before crashing. But, airbag did not come out which is not acceptable. Shall I file a case on Hyundai for this.Secondly, my Insurance company (New India) is not providing me the full insured amount(with out road tax and with 5% reduction in actual price) or total replacement cost(since it is more than actual insured amount).I am paying 250 rs each day for keeping car in service center. Can I claim road tax and its Procedure. Please suggest.

Ahmedabad munciapal corporation not addressing my complaint since long
I have filled a complaint in ahmedabad muncipal corporation for get tax relaxation in my property due to non use. More than six months has been passed and i visited AMC office many times but nothing is happening. I had even written a letter to muncipal commisoner but there is no response from him also.
It is offen that we have to file complaints to AMC for many small reasons like, drainage, cleaniness, street lights, road resurfacing but most of them are addressed very late. and many of them are never been address.
So here i want to know that what legal step i can take to against government officers.
