My mother purchased a property through his own fund in my name in 1962 when I was 17 years old and was studying in college. My mother expired in 1998. Now in 2018 my younger brother send me a court notice claiming that he has also right over this said property since the purchase price was paid by mother. I would like to know the legal opinion in this respect.

SIR I AM CA BY PROFESSION AND ALSO A LAW GRADUATE .MY UNCLE HAS FILED CIVIL SUIT MAKING MY FATHER AS DEFENDENT. I AM HOLDING A PROVISIONAL LICENCE AS A ADVOCATE BUT NOT REGISTERED IN BAR COUNCIL, WHICH WAS ALLOTED TO ME PRIOR BECOMING CA .
AS IT IS A MATTER OF MY FAMILY CAN I CONTEST THE CASE .
Experts please note this is not a academic question
it is well settled when the attorney expires his/she"s signed power of attorney becomes legally in valid,
Query, does this same principle/law apply to the MoU (unregistered) of family settlement in respect to the immovable property, when one of the beneficiary dies , does the MoU In question become Legally invalid-?
