Hi,
My wife have filed a Domestic Violence case against me and other 5 members of the family, case was filed on 24 June 2013.
All the accused have received the summons and have filed there Written Statement in the last date. Now the case will now go up on Argument Stage. I am having my daughters custody who is a physical disable child & she will be undergoing an operation on coming next week, my next date is on 1st march 2014, I want more time to keep me free for next 2-3 months to take care of my child in this situation.
What will be my next move to be secured & take my time for further court process.
Please suggest…. (I have yet not applied for mediation, counseling, should I go for that?)

Sirs,
I joined a 5-Year Integrated Degree in Software Engineering, offered by an AICTE-approved Engineering College. I applied for an "Equivalence Certificate" thinking that my course is at least EQUAL to 4-year B.E. The University that framed syllabi/duration etc, of both the said courses, has certified my 5-Year course as NOT EQUAL to B.E. I paid fees equivalent to that of B.E. I am perturbed. Can I approach the Consumer Court to compensate - since I had studied a course inferior to a 4 year course? I feel cheated. Kindly advise if this matter comes under Consumer Act. Thanks Sirs.

Plz help
I had given my wife's brother an amount of Rs 8 lakhs over a period of 1 year to help him start a business in the year 2011.
All the amount was transferred online from my bank account to my brother-in-law's bank account in which my wife was a joint holder.
Since it my wife's brother I had not taken any assurance/cheque or any written conformation from him for the said amount except my bank statement showing the transfer.
He had promised me to return the money within 1 year. However it has been two years now and he is refusing to return the money he owes me.
My wife too had persuaded him but he has stopped meeting or taking her calls too.
What are my legal options as I am need of my hard earned money right now.
