Sir,
My client has encroached a plot coming under the municipality for which he is paying property tax. He built a house in the year 2001. Now he wants to sell it at 20.00 lakhs. What is the tax implication in the said amount. Will it attract capital gain tax. Also, While calculating capital gain whether I have to calculate indexed cost of acquisition.
Kindly suggest me accordingly.

in such situation what is the best solution. whether she should come her parents house with both the children anyhow by misguide all the members of her matrimony home. or she can easely take the custody of children by court without spending time.

Hi, I and my childhood friend wanted to get married but his parents opposed (I am muslim and he is hindu) and got him married to a girl under emotional pressure very hurriedly... After his marriage, we just remained friends but he was not in good terms with his wife due to their internal mismatch... the girl got him into police for false charge of hitting, misbehaving, and extra marital (which is not true)... she went to her parents within 6months of marriage and now harassing him by sending police and legal papers (as her brother is constable). She clearly said in police station that she is unwilling to continue the marriage but will divorce if given some huge money. which my friend cant afford.
They are harassing him a lot and he had to run for all charges on him: Dowry, harassment by both him and his parents, attempt to suicide, adultery, just everything any women can put on a man.\
Also, I would like to add here that now my friend wants to marry me by converting into muslim. Please advice is that possible under so much controversies?
Please advice for my friend what he can do now?

I want to know that, what is the difference between Criminal PIL and Civil PIL, which is filed in H.C.? In which base the PIL is categorised civil and criminal?
Actually I was asked my senior, they said, it is based on referred act on the said PIL. But I am not satisfied.
Please guide.

RC Book issues
Hi I purchased a old vehicle which had 4 owners previously. It is a Daewoo Matiz REGIESTERED YEAR 2000. In the book, the Chassis number is printed correctly (with pencil impression on the book) but the Engine number
has a small clerical error.
Actually on engine the vehicle it shows,
S8EV-XXXXXX and on the RC BOOK, it is written out as SSEV-XXXXXX (where XXXXXX stands for numeric digits). The united india insurance on the previous owner also has the same mistake i.e. they have copied the wrong engine number from the RC book and given Third party insurance.
Kindly note that I do not have the original
purchase bill of the vehicle as it might be with the first owner. Further, as the Matiz has stopped now, the Dealer also closed his shop in chennai, so I cannot take his help. I am in Erode which is 400 km away from chennai. The vehicle is registered in chennai only.
Please let me know how I can get this rectified in the RC book. Will it be a problem if I use the vehicle with the mistake? If I want to renew insurance, should I give the actual engine number
or the wrong number as it is in the book.
