Dear Expert,
My niece married a boy from Trichur, Kerala in 2012. After a year we realized that he is impotent. He had threatened the girl with dire consequences, if she shear the fact with anyone. Instead he was blaming the girl that she is scared of sex.
The girl is handicapped. She had congenital cataract. After few operations she now can manage everything. Both her eyes are good. We have told everything to the boy and his family before marriage. The boy also had a major car accident when he was 10 year. He had a head injury and it was repaired by a titanium plate insert in the head. His impotence is due to this accident, but was not told to us or anyone.
The boy and his family have taken all her jewelry, 110 sovereign (around 880 grams) of gold and Rs 20 lakhs. The money was not given at the time of marriage, but at different occasions to build his house at Thichur.
The Girl and family work at Singapore. At the time of marriage the boy was jobless and the girl’s father got him a job at Singapore.
He used to harass her, so that she won’t utter a word of his impotence.
We have filed for divorce in Kerala family court. Now he is absconding. Through our sources we came to know that he is at Doha (Qatar). If we go for ex party divorce, we will not get back our gold and money. We also heard that he is perusing another marriage with another unsuspecting girl.
Kindly advice how should we go about this.
Thanks and Best regards Pramod

Hi Learned Members,
My 13 B HMA case went to mediation after second motion. In the mediation wife agreed for divorce and then mediation report sent to court in front of Judge she agreed that she needs divorce and judge also asked me I said the same stating that I am taking divorce on my free will, then judge asked for handing over the DD to my wife I handed over in front of Judge.
Post this Judge said orders will posted on 15-july-2014. I went to court today saw the status of the case in the Computer it was reflecting as Next hearing date is 18-08-2014, ideally case has to be disposed right?
I spoke to the Bench Clerk of the court and he said the petition has been accepted by court on 15-July-2014 and I asked him when is the pronouncement of Judgement and he kept quiet?
Could you please help me understand how the process works and technicality to deal with the terminologies the bench clerk uses?
Is my divorce technically passed as bench clerk told that the petition is accepted.
Usually what is the normal duration where Judge take to pronounce the decree?

I would like to get some information regarding divorce in Christian marriage.
I was married in May 2009. In 2011 December I got separated from my husband.
The reason for separating from him is his cruelty. I have been staying alone since then. I tried contacting his family to know his whereabouts so that can discuss about divorce by mutual consent but they either don't respond or give lame excuses saying they don't know where he is.
Now on what grounds can I apply for divorce and how long it would take
Dear August members,
kindly share the detail on legality on carrying/possessing/practicing/travelling in Delhi metro or any other public transport with Nunchaku.
For your reference, here is the image of Nunchaku attached.
This is specifically used for Kungfu practice and self defence.

Dear Experts, I am caught up in a peculiar situation. I hope I can be honest in putting down the situation clearly.
Background: Almost three years ago I had suggested Mr. X not involve in controversy with Mrx Y in presence of some of the colleagues, as I was head of the department then and Mr X was my student with a favor ands colleague. Mr X had come home and had fight with me about this remark/suggestion. I told him plainly that I told you as the people in department commented, and as a senior in good faith I told you to avoid. He used to comment similarly about some girls. I stopped talking with gentleman Mr X.
Present Controversy: Me and few of my colleagues have a feeling (as those who have seen don’t want to accept), that of Mrs Y has put proxy initials of Mr X for few days. It is evident from the change in signatures. Both have an apprehension that I have complained about it and there is a group which has done it. Hence, they together enquired about this with few of class 4 employees who move with me. Husband of Mrs Y has threatened of police to a person who is close to me and used to work before. Now 3 days ago, Mr X, Mrs Y and husband of Mrs Y visited my house and had arguments over it. As I didn’t make complaint I didn’t accept their allegations. In the course of discussion and incident with my friend it appears they have received phone calls and/or sms regarding the character of Mrs Y. Mrs Y used very slang words and threatened me of mahila police and suicide etc. My wife and son were also present. It was evening 715pm onwards. The husband of Mrs Y is calling me and few of my colleagues at odd hours.
Please advice me. Thanks in advance.
Tenancy problem in kolkata
I am a resident of Kolkata, West Bengal.
In 1966, we gave CGHS (Central Government Health Scheme) a portion of the ground floor (1359 sqft) on rent @1425 p.m. (Rs.1.05/sqft)for opening a dispensary for two years with a provision of renewing another 2 years.
CGHS took possession and was about to send a tenancy agreement within one month, terms and conditions of which was verbally decided. After we got that agreement we found that they have modified every terms and conditions and therefore we refused to sign that.
We requested them million times to either modify the terms or quit the place but they did not do anything.
In 1970 the agreement (which we never signed) was supposed to be over but they did not vacate the place either.
Almost 50 years have passed by and till today they are staying as our tenant without increasing a single penny and without any agreement whatsoever.
We have stopped receiving rent for last 6 months. My question is
CAN A GOVERNMENT BODY STAY AS A TENANT FOREVER WITHOUT EVEN HAVING AN AGREEMENT? WE WANT THEM TO QUIT HOW SHOULD WE PROCEED?
Please help.
