My grandmother owned a property in mumbai; she died 3 years back.
On the said property nominee was my uncle; now on mutual consent the said property is to be transffer in name of my father even though he is not nominee There is no will.
whether it is possible ?? whether we have to pay stamp duty or not???

We are a private limited company and taken over by MNC. Present owners/Directors has sought for gratuity. They were paid remuneration salary thru the payroll as an employee wherein IT AND PT deductions were made.
Are they eligible for gratuity.

Recently I was invited to and attended a marriage between a Hindu (Brahmin) girl and a Christian boy. The marriage was performed just like any Hindu - Hindu marriage with Brahmin priests, havan, 7 times coming round the fire etc. It had all the ingredients of a Hindu marriage. Was it a valid marriage? If the marriage is to be registered under which Act will it have to be validly registered, under Hindu Marriage Act, Special Marriages Act or any other Act? If it were not a valid marriage what are the consequences to the couple if they live as husband and wife, have children etc. Will there be any occasion when their marriage will be questioned? The Hindu girl and the Christian boy are retaining their respective Hindu and Christian names.

The Flat in which i reside is in my aunties name ie my Father sister. Both of my aunt are no more they use to stay with us only.
Now even my father is no more i am survived with my wife ,son and my mother. I want to change the name in the society which they have refused to do so. One of the member have suggested me to get the Succession Certificate from the high court.
Can anyone guide me as how the process or procedure for this and how much it would cost to do so.

Hi,
I am moving abroad and leasing out my property in Hyderabad. In my absence, my friend would look after the property and sign rental contracts. I am giving a GPA to him to manage the property and sign the contracts.
Is GPA recommended for this purpose?
Do I have to specify exact property and the exact privileges that would be granted through the GPA?
