Dear Experts, I want to change my Surname after marriage in my Passport. They are asking for "Gazette notification Changing Name in Applicants Department"
Kindly advise how this can be done?
Also advise on formal Process for change in surname after marriage.

My friend is a share holder in a listed company. He applied for updation of signature on the form prescribed by the company after attestation from his banker. The company is not updating his signature. Has he any legal remedy against that company ?

our family friend has no one in his family and he did not get married so he has no children no wife and he had no attachment towards his brother and in all his fix deposit and in insurance paper he made me the nominee and in relationship block he has written as son, so did i can get the better title and legal right as against his brother.if he file case in the court.

The police have submitted a false FR u/s 173 in my FIR exonerating the accused. What should I do to lodge my protest, and what is the time limit of it if any? Is there any use of pursuing the matter with senior police officers?

Whether a married person (male or female) whose divorce case under process can give matrimonial advertisement ,with the remark ’’Divorce Proceedings under process” in Matrimonial Web sites and News Papers? If this is against law kindly provide supporting judgements in this regard.

I want to know that if there are 3 session trails of 302/34 case and under 2 trails Witness becomes hostile and confirmed on oath in court than third session trail will run on the same set of evidence or not.

One of my cousin did his sslc in bengalur karnataka and 12th in mumbai...his name in sslc is Deepak.D.S and in 12th it is Deepak.S.Gowda as it s mandatory to attach surname in mumbai he has mentioned name with surname and he has given same name to degree..so now he has decided to change his name in sslc.... could you please help me to know how to change his name in sslc marks card...

We are holding a seminar at our college on the subject and we were asked to choose a topic. My topic is Sexual Assault - Violation of Human Rights. And this is based on the Soumya case which was recently decided by SC Ernakulam and acquitted the Offender of any murder charges. I understand that our honourable judges are good at making decisions though I stand with Justice Katju's point of judgement that a death sentence was the right punishment for Govindaswamy. Now my thoughts for the seminar are such: Was enough justice done to Soumya and her mother who has lost her daughter. Had Soumya survived what would have been her life since she had already had a broken pituitary gland rendering any person so to be in a vegetative state. Is not that as equal to killing a person. Had she been by birth a disabled we can understand, but here the case is that all her rights were violated. Despite the fact that Dr. Shirly Vasu had given details on injuries found that could lead to death even if she had not fallen in between those railway tracks. This was not considered as rarest of rare case despite the fact that we all know no sane person would have raped a person who is already in a pool of blood rather take them to the hospital. Looking at the historical records of Govindaswamy he is a habitual offender and also an extremist in inflicting pain to any individual be it male or female. Why do we term perverts as sick people when we know this cannot be anywhere near to sickness. These are intentional acts. Why would our law see this as there was no intention of murder when we all understand that we would not bang a persons head as a damaged skull and brain would lead to death eventually. How can I go about this topic to ultimately give a thought provoking seminar at my college.

After fir challan not filed

i met with road side accident(24/06/2016) i was on bike with friend and accused was in Tata Safari.Accused was standing in between the road and talking to another car driver coming from opposite side.when we cross Tata safari he suddenly take u-turn in between the road to go back and hit my bike badly.i got fractured my shoulder.and admitted to hospital.i was in the hospital for 5 days.my family members many times call police for FIR.and after 10 days police registered FIR(279,337,339,427)mentioning the person name and address.But still challan not filed by police.Now after 7 months when investigating officer visited hospital for MLR report.Hospital write in MLR report that patient denied for any MLR.I have all the records of hospital with bill of 1.2lac and hospital report mentioning the fracture and operation and plate inserted in shoulder.now police officer remove some of the IPC section from FIR.we already hired a lawyer for compensation claim but lawyer saying that let police filed the challan first then our case will be strong.Can you please suggest what should we do,because nearly 8 months have gone.
