Dear Experts, my friend from Odisha got married in 2012. But his marriage is not Registered yet. Using a notarized affidavit for name change after marriage, his wife already has married surname in her pan card, bank accounts and birth certificate of their daughter. Now they want to register their marriage under Hindu marriage act and using the marriage certificate want to change wife's surname in all other documents including aadhar and passport. Questions are 1. Which name of wife should be there in marriage certificate: married or maiden. I see both approaches being followed. 2. Which of the above approaches is better?? To have married surname or maiden name if she wants to adopt her husbands surname in all her records and buy joint properties and be nominees in her husbands investments?? 3. What process needs to be followed to have married surname of wife in marriage certificate?? A joint marriage affidavit with name change causes suffices?? 4. If wife retains her maiden name in marriage certificate, can she use it to change her surname in aadhar, passport, and other such future records??

one of my friend has been working as contract worker with Computer hardware company of repute in Bengaluru. He is part of sales team and has completed more than a year. In the meantime, company changed the contractor and he is now working for the same employer under different contractor. How long as per law, he can work as contractor's worker. Is there any guiding law to make him a regular employee of the principal. What are the options available to him as 240 days work has been withdrawn.

Dear All,
I have a flat in Colaba, Mumbai of which the document was prepared in somewhere around 1970. There was no registration in those days.
I have misplaced the original and have no zerox too.
I have a few receipts paid at that time. I have the original share certificate for the same. I have the electricity bills for the same too on my name.
The society charges bills which I have been paying are also standing in my name.
Besides this there are many exchange of letters and notices for meetings between the society in my name too.
Now I would like to sell the property.
What is the course of action to be taken for that lost agreement.
I would also like to take out the 1981 valuation of the flat. Kindly guide and refer.
Regards
Atish
