I was an employee of an agro industry. My service with above industry is more than 12 years. The physical possession of the unit was takenover by the Bank(secured Creditor) in March 2007, after evicting the workmen by police force. At the time of eviction, we were given a assurance by bank that they will settle all workmen due in priority basis. But in April 2010, the unit was sold to a new firm without any intimation to the workmen. On representation by the workmen to the bank, they have told that the union leader got the full payment on behalf of the workmen as per a settlement u/s 18(1) of ID Act 1947. But none of our employee has received even a single rupee. Can we challange this matter in court of law. If possible on what grounds, we can file our claim. Please do suggest.

I live in joint family and in remote area with my father and brother. Few days ago my sister-in-law left home without informing us and started living with their parents. The parents of the girl had threatened that they will going to file the false FIR against all the family members. Now we are fearing that we will may get arrested if they file the FIR against us under section 498-A of IPC or other relevant provisions
Please inform the remedy in such cases in order to avoid arrest
Please inform whether the Anticipatory bail can be filed if the FIR is not registered?
or shall we immediately proceed for Anticipatory Bail even without the FIR as the offence is non-cognizable and the police will immediately arrest me and my family members on filing the FIR?
Please provide the very brief model of the bail petition that can be formatted?
Thanking you

Lnd Experts,
In a title suite, I was plaintiff. Judgment got passed in my favour by Hon’ble Sub Judge. During trial of this case defendants didn’t cross-examined our witnesses. They filed their documents but didn’t get it exhibited in the court also they didn’t do their final argument. Now after five months they (Defendants) have filed an appeal with condonation of delay. They have mentioned the reason for delay is that one of the defendant and her mother was seriously ill and was under treatment of a doctor. During trial of this case defendants were not appearing (since last 2 months before judgement) and also didn’t cross-examine three of our witnesses (have cross examine only one witness). They filed their documents but didn’t get it exhibited/marked in the court also they didn’t do their final argument. Hearing on admission of the appeal is on next month.
Will the delay be condoned after five months on this ground (there are 8 defendants and only two were ill)? Is there any citation in my favour?
Can they get their documents filed and exhibited in appeal case?
Will they cross-examine our witnesses again in appeal?
Thanks and regards to all.

I invite your kind attention to an "unhealthy" discussion taking place on the forum.
a reader posted a query whether by taking a dd favouring lic on 31st,march 2010 and sent the same by regd post to the lic branch. LiC has accounted the same on 07th april 2010 .Is the party enttled to claim for rebate on 2009-2010?
My contention was since the lic has received the premium during 2010-11, he is not entitled to claim rebate for 2009-10.
For this a senior expert of this forum has accused me of giving answers of unfounded nature and out of intuitions.
even if i am wrong in my answers, i do
not think any here is authorised to make such sarcastic remarks.
Hope some one respond in this.
I have a case pending at the hearing stage against a and b at a District Forum and the matter is due for oral arguement. However, one of the OP has issued a letter to c to act in a manner which will interefer with the subject matter of the dispute. Will such an act be considered as an interference with judicial proceeding indirectly? If yes, under what provisions can I seek relief in form of an interem order ? Can I apply for contempt of court motion ? Please give me your valuable guidence.

MY FATHER INHERITED IMMOVABLE PROPERTY FROM ANCESTORS. WE ARE THREE BROTHERS AND THREE SISTERS. IT IS ALLEGED THAT MY LATE FATHER MADE A WILL, ACCORDING TO THAT NONE OF HIS DAUGHTERS GOT ANY SHARE IN THE PROPERTY. IS THIS POSSIBLE THAT A PERSON CAN DEPRIVE HIS DAUGHTERS FROM ANCESTRAL PROPERTY ? IF NOT, WHAT COURSE IS LEFT FOR THE DAUGHTERS TO GET THEIR LEGITIMATE RIGHT. MRs LEELA VYAS INDORE TEL 0731 2414261

An applicant approached an organisation - notified by a State Government in the official Gazette as a "intelligence and security organisation" - with an RTI application. The applicant approached the designated PIO of that organisation and asked for information that he claimed pertained to violation of his human right. At first, the PIO responded saying that the Public Authority concerned is not bound to give the information. When told that even an exempted organisation has to give information pertaining to human rights`violation, the PIO argued that he was not convinced that the information involved human right violation. The applicant mentioned to the PIO that he is well-versed with the provisions of the RTI Act, 2005 and that he will not hesitate to pursue his case not just with the Information Commission concerned`, but if need be, he'd go all the way to the Supreme Court. Hearing this, the PIO felt that it would be o.k. to give information to the applicant right away to avoid any further hassles. In fact, the First Appellate Authority too had asked the PIO to do so Is the applicant right in thinking that he can go all the way to the Supreme Court seeking a remedy if he is not satisfied, because he thinks that the information he is seeking pertains to a violation of his human right?
What is the Court fee for filing a suit for recovery of possession?
How it is to be computed ?\
