Property inherited by widow

Respected experts,

I want to know some law and citations on the below mentioned query:-

A women's husband died before partition of ancestral property, thereafter she (widow)remarry. Is she entitled to get the share in the ancestaral property of her deceased husband, or any property self acquired by her husband.


Pls give any citation also in this regard.

There is a SLP pending before Supreme Court of India. In an application, filed by the petitioner, on 04-12-2009 the Hon'ble court made the following order"Post the application along with the SLP for hearing during summer vacation, 2010". And according to the said order, the above said SLP has to be listed in summer vacation. But the same was not posted. So now what I want to do. I also requested my On record Advocate to see that it should be listed.
In such a situation, what we should do generally. I also sent a mail to the court's mail ID about not listing of the case, but I did not receive any reply. So Pl.clarify.

family settlment not being honoured

Dear sir/Madam,
My query is in regards to an oral family settlement..my father is the youngest of all his brothers and sisters...he is also physically challenged....now the problem is that almost 25 years ago an oral settlement was made according to which my father was given 1 residential property and the businesses,shops,warehouses,various shares of my grandfather in other properties were distributed amongst my uncles.However,no document to this was signed except some no objections certificate from some of them for changing the name of my grandfather to my father in revenue records of various authorities.now some properties have been sold by my uncles wherein they got my father to sign the sale deeds...the issue is that after so many years price of this property that my father owns has increased many folds...and one of my father's brothers have become greedy...and he is asking for his share in this property..... as he took his share in cash there is no record of him getting any property...the other 5 brothers and sisters are ready to register the oral settlement that had been made years ago ...will it be sufficient if the one demanding his share goes to court...

Please guide me on below stated queries.

We are special products manufacturing co.,- Despite repeated follow up our client is not releasing pymnt against supplied materials. We are having parties blank cheque duly signed by him & issued by him when business started with us.

Q 1)Can we deposit that blank cheque in the bank duly filled full outstanding amount ?

2) Against dishonored of the same can we file the case u/s.138?

3) Is there any judgement of high/supreme court regarding utilization of security cheque and filling cases?

4)Please guide me on INK READING.
