How do lawyers charge fees in a family contestd and on going matter which is before the court.
Is it per suit or per month till the suit is finally decreed or settled ?
I live in a Society which has 267 flats and 4 Row Houses (RH). Each RH has been sold by the builder/developer through two sale agreement units (101 and 201) and registered seperately. The municipality (Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai) has issued a single property tax bill to each of these RHs (considering the total area of units 101 and 201 together). Units 101 and 201 are connected through an internal staircase.
What should be the basis for charging Society maintenance bills? Should each RH (101 & 201) be considered as one unit (as has been done by MCGM) and be issued a single maintenance bill or should seperate bills be issued for units 101 and 201?
Each RH (101 and 201 together) is occupied by one family per RH. In case of two of the RHs, the sale units 101 and 201 are registered in different members of the same family, while in case of two other RHs, both 101 and 201 are registered in the names of same family members.
Please advise.

Hello experts,
Kindly share your thoughts on the following.
My friend is married and has a kid. After 1 year of marriage, his wife had an verbal argument with her in laws and neither visited her in laws place nor the husband's place after that. She was very adamant and was firm in her decision and didn't visited till date (almost 4 years after marriage). The mutual discussion to convice her also didn't help. Now his wife has moved to the local women's police station and lodged a complaint under the pretext that her husband is not accepting her. Few days back, my frieds parents received a notice from the local police station to appear before them. It appears that she is more interested in the ailmony amount. My friend has lost his job in the global meltdown time and still is searching for a job for the last 4 months.
Kindly let us know the possible ways out how to avoid this.
His wife is a post graduate and capable of working.
My friend's parents are very old and it is difficult on their part to go through the legal and court formalities and they are financially not sound. They don't want a divorce but the girl's parents are very much after the ailmony amount.
Kindly share your thoughts.
Thanks and regards

Hello Sir,
One of my friend recently met with a small accident. He was driving a car at 20-30km per hr. He was not even drunk. But suddenly, a man came from the divider for crossing, as it was night, he did not see him, and his car dashed to that man from sideways. Only his car's side mirror broke down. All this happened in fraction of seconds. As that area was not good, he ran away from that place. He dont know, what happened to that man, as never saw back after that, he was very afraid. This incidents happen daily in a city, but still he is frightened. It was not his mistake at all, he was driving slow and suddenly a man came in between.
What can happen in such a situation? If there is a police case then what should he do?
