Income-tax

While awarding compensation in a land acquisition case, the government has also granted solatium to the land owner. The land has been taken over to widen the golden quadrilateral highway and in a prestigious place. While the compensation as also the interest for the delayed payment are taxable, it has been the claim of the land owner that solatium being one representing money paid to assuage pent up feelings or wounded feelings is akin to compensation paid to accident victims and is not taxable. There is no dedcision as seen from the digest barring a Punjab & Haryana Bigh Court decision which directs that solatium is also assessable to tax. Can anay one identify or locate any other judgment in this regard. Converselky if any case deciuded by the Supreme Courrt in any civil law that cana be of assistance may also be cited.
TYhanks and regards.

Section 219. (of Indian Penal Code)

Sir,
A public servant has manipulated the record of a judicial proceeding, he has put his signature on a date on which he has not even joined the service. In one date he has shown, my objection which I filed after 2 months from that date. Everything is manipulated and ante-dated. Even final order too is against the natural justice. He has prepared a false document for my opponent for my land. Since I refuse to pay. He has acted with corrupt/malicious intention. This act of him caused me a great damage, mentally physically, financially and has lowered my reputation.
I have filed appeal, but there too it is the same condition, the officer is corrupt.
In this condition what should I do? What are the sections of IPC it attracts? Where shall file the case In Police or private complaint? Can I sue him for damages? Plz. Guide.
Thanks.

Getting the marriage declared void

A close relative of mine, now 35 years, got married in June 2004. After marriage he came to know that his wife cannot conceive as she was suffering from almost incurable disease. She has been taking treatments from various doctors. But all these were never revealed to my relative before marriage. Needless to say, it came as a rude shock to my relative. In 2006, she went to her parents home on the eve of her brother's thread ceremoney with all her ornaments, clothings etc. She all took away with her all her medial papers. She has not returned since then nor is she in a mood to return. Her father had once sent a group of criminals to his house to physically harm him. Fortunately he was not at home then. Her father keeps calling him and his relatives over phone theatening that he is going to kill/ break his legs. The hopes of bringing her back and allow her to live a respectful family life , even without any issue, has almost faded because of her own and her parents' behaviour.

My relative has now decided to move the court to declare the marriage void because he has been cheated by concealment of such an important fact as her physical inability to conceive and deliver a child. He also wants to complain to the police against constant threatening of physical harm being received from his in-laws.

Kindly advise -
1. Best legal remedies to get the marriage void
2. legal protection from threats being received from his in-laws.
