Hi There,
I am in a state of frustration now and hence looking for someone who can guide me here. I booked a house in Rajnagar (March 2007) that was supposed to be ready by 2009.
Once booked, few months later I noticed that there is no progress in the construction and hence I decided to meet the authority. Post few meetings I found that the construction wont be happening because of some financial problems with the builder. I decided to cancel the deal and I did that in April 2009.
Much to my surprise, they gave me PDC of 1 year later (for May 2010!) and I had no choice but to agree. I had things planned at my end accordingly which included a big financial help for my family for which I was depending on this money.
The cheque BOUNCED!
Almost everyone whom I talked to since booking have left the organisation and finally I had to go to meet someone in office (and was hoping the office was not shut down!). They said they will give me draft on June 15th which they pushed to July 2nd and now they pushed again to July 10th(2 days from now) in name of no funds with them.
Today they say that they are in problems and may not be able to give refund on July 10th and will be pushed by couple of weeks now.
Trust me, I was Salman Khan, I would have broken their teeth. I am in a fix now. My money stuck there since last 3 years and my prior committment at family which will force me to take loan!
Can you please suggest what would be the best way to go ahead. I have all the documents to produce and confirm my standings.
I sincerely hope there is someone who can understand my condition and guide me in right direction.

Around 12 yrs ago my Fatherinlaw borrowed small part of money from me for buying 3 apartmets for his 3 daughters ( of which eldest is my wife). He did buy the 3 apartments but ,the one he had promised at the time of borrowing money from me had to be in joint name of my wife & my fatherinlaw remains solely in my fatherinlaws name until this day.
Now he has changed his mind under the pretext of loss of memory to keep his promise ( he is 85 yrs) and he wants the apartment to be equally shared between the 3 daughters on his demise.
The other 2 apartments remain under ownership of the other two daughters, which they live & also are earning rental proceeds since past 12 yrs.
My case is weak because the letter my fatherinlaw had sent to me 12 yrs ago with the promise is misplaced and since the issue is very delicate and can go to the extent of breach in family ties , I had never questioned him until just 10 days ago. The 2 daughters ( my sisterinlaws ) are hard pressed to get the share out of the apartment which was promised to be my wife's on my fatherinlwas demise.
Pl guide me , if I have to take a legal route -- what evidence & what appeals could be possibly be effective in this current scenario. Thanks in advance.
