Firm is goverened by the rules of Partnership Act, 1932 where as the company is governed by the rules of Company Act,1956
In firm all the Partners are jointly liable where as the company there is no such case
As regards the legal obligation the company has more to cpmply with where as the firm has less to comply with.
In firm once registered with the Registrar of firms is sufficient where as the company has to obtain the certificate of commencement of business after the registration of company

Hi All,
I want to know whether the minutes of a meeting is rendered INVALID if it does not have the chairman's signature? If not, what is the status of such minutes?

In 2005,I had purchased shares of a listed company. In 2006 the said company was amalgamated with one Pvt.limited company and was delisted.I was not informed about amalgamation nor was offered any shares in new company.Which is the forum where I can seek remedy?

TDS Income tax
Sir,
One of my clients got a notice of order to pay TDS on salary with interest etc along with challan sent by Income tax office.
Actually the amount shown in the order is incorrect and due to the mistake in the E/TDS return filed.
The problem was due to in the e filing return instead of showing the employees salary as WOMEN it is incorrectly shown as OTHERS.
So the TDS deducted seen to have been made short when it is calculated for MEN.
Actually for women it is correct.However notice says to pay money.
What should we do.
Can i correct the e return for the year by filing correction returns. or any other remedy other than filing appleal to commissioner for this mistake in efiling.
