DIVORCE

My client's marriage was held according to Hindu Rites but was registered under Special Marriage Act. Now his wife does not allow him to have a physical relations with him.
My client wants to file a divorce.
Under which Act he should move for divorce.

Regarding family property

My Father in law is bed ridden and has got flats and shops in his name. Now my mother in law is not so much keen on distributing the family property,my husband being the eldest son what rights does he enjoy? Is it possible for my mother in law to not give us anything from the said property?

Counter Claim

Husband filed a case for Resttution of Conjugal Rights. Wife appeared and filed a counter claim for divorce on the ground of cruelity.
Now husband wants to withdraw his suit for RCR.
What will be affect on counter claim filed by wife?

canadian-indian assualt-divorce

hello, i am an indian and married an indian guy in 2005 and then we both went to canada on work visa. as my husband had been assaulting and abusing me. i had to run away and come to India. I filed complain in canada before coming and i wanted to know what can i do here?

can i file domestic violence or harrasment or any other charge in india?i have heard that becauase incident happened in canada i cannot do anything in india. is it true?

if i file complain in india, how will it work because my husband is in canada and he will probably not come to india. what things can i do?

Succession

Husband died leaving two wives. Husband was in service at the time of death and nomination was in favour of second wife in official records. Whether the succession would be granted in favour of first or second wife? What is legal position.
