Good morning,
According to the Indian custom, the name of a woman usually gets changed and she is bound to roam about with the married name. My question is can she stay with the maiden name or is it compulsory to change to the married name?
Also it is customary to write the father's name after the child's name. Can we write both the parents' names?
In case of divorced ladies with custody of the children, many wish to write their own name after the child's name. How can this be done in a legal way?
Can you quote some landmark judgement where the mother has been given the right to use her single name?

Hi sir, Iam the sufferer of wife, she filed 498A in 2004 just after the marriage of 6months, she is belongs to bilai and she is not interested the marriage with me, which i came to know after the marriage of third day only she only directly expressed and warned me not express infront of any others, which is not expressed to her parents, but she loved someone at bilai and she wants to go there itselves. Her cusin brother also advocate cleaverly after 6 months they filed a 498A saying that beating and torturing(all these are lies). But till now the case has not come for trial also. Hence I request your goodselves that how to file divorce petition on the cruelty grounds. please suggest me with case laws.

hi,
Me and My husband are seprated from last 3 years, because he and his family used to beat me, Now i want to file a case against him for Domestic violence/Dowry etc, please suggest wether i can do the same right now or not , we have done that earlier also at my native place but later we stop it by producing an application that we are trying to resolve the matter with help of relatives, but all in vain, nothing have happened yet since Apr 8, 2006.
Could anybody please help in the same

HOW TO SAFEGUARD FROM 498A
Sir / Madam
I am from BURDWAN, WEST BENGAL. Wife want me to live separately from my parents and splurge on her and her family. Life has become a living hell. With collaboration from her parental side she is threatening and harassing us.
I HAVE RECORDS(MOBILE VIDEO) TO PROVE
A)THAT SHE LEFT HOME FOR MINOR ROUTINE DIFFERENCES WITHIN FAMILY
B)THAT SHE ADMITTED THAT HER UNCLES THREATENED US AND THAT HER BROTHER WILL BREAK ALL RELATIONS.
C)SHE ADMITTED THAT THE MISTAKE WAS HER.
D) SHE ADMITTED THAT WE HAVE NOT TAKEN DOWRY OR MADE ANY DEMAND.
MY QUESTIONS ARE :
1) Are these records helpful in my case like in getting AB FOR ALL FAMILY. Whether I have to produce these?
2) She is living with her parents since last 1 year.
3) Can I apply for AB without their knowledge and once granted how long is it valid.
4) Some people are suggesting that AB is not available easily and are refused in WEST BENGAL. Is it true? WHETHER COURTS IN KOLKATA WILL BE MORE HELPFUL.
5) shall I straightaway file for divorce?
6) WHO WILL GET CUSTODY OF CHILDRENS.
KINDLY HELP ME. ITHINK THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM AND YOU EXPERT'S ADVICE WILL HELP A LOT OF PEOPLE.
