I have filed a divorce case (in family court) against my wife for cruelty and desertion. Her father has made appearance on her behalf with POA and submitted reply as she has gone abroad to study.
Isn't it mandatory for the respondent to appear in divorce proceedings especially in reconcillation.
In my case, her reply has been taken on record and there are no reconcillation proceedings happened.
What is the remedy available to me?

Hi All,
I am undergoing a divorce and very recently, my wife's father expired.
And I did not go to the funeral as well.
Question:
1. Since, my wife did not made any attempt of sharing this information with me, is a clear indicator of no emotional bond whatsoever between us.
Will this "lack of emotional bond" be a solid ground for divorce.
2. Are there any citations/cases, which conclude above point.

Hi All,
I am currently undergoing a divorce(2008) and cureently it is in the stage of Cross examination of witnesses.
I have a few queries about Alimony.
I have submitted my salary slips in the Mainitenance case(2007) which was 2 years back and my salary at that time was 2.4 Lacs PA.
My current take home salary is 3.6 Lacs PA excluding taxes.
Question:
1. What are the grounds to decide alimony for my wife?
2. Will I be asked to submit my latest salary slips?
3. Also in 498a case(2007), my wife alleged of 50 lacs of dowry (which is absolutely wrong) . Will court/judge take into consideration 498a case allegations before granting alimony.
4. Based on above facts, how much alimony can I expect ?

if there is only two girls (no boy) of a parents then how can the property divided between them , is there is a right of a girl is vested in mothers income if mother cant give any assets to her and same as wt about fathers property. what is the legal standing of a girl is she is married.

i am fighting a custody case with my wife of my daughter of age 4yrs and10 months old now.my wife left me and my daughter on 27.10.2007 and on 4.8.2008 she abducted the child directly from the school in delhi afer a gap of 10 months with her to her parents house in ghaziabad.since she is getting treatment of manic depression from july 2006 so i first requested her through emails and various other channels to return the child so that she can attend the school in delhi but since she does not listen and never replyed to my various emails and legal notice i was forced to file a custody case in delhi courts in oct 2008.my wife is doing two jobs and her house in ghaziabad has a boys hostel on two floors and various other commercial activities run by her parents .my wife has no time for the child and she is a professional lady doing two jobs.she has denied all these in his ws before the court and i have submitted photographs and other proofs to prove my points.now her lawyer is saying that delhi courts has no jurisdiction to hear this case since the child is living in ghaziabad.but since this is a forcefull abduction from my custody in delhi and the child was studing in delhi school for the last two yrs and her name is in ration card of delhi and above all her mother is still filling her latest income tax and TDS returns from my delhi address and she has bought a car which is also registered in delhi and she is daily coming to delhi for attending her office and has denied all this .pls advice me on the jurisdiction issue of delhi courts in this matter.is it so easy to change the jurisdiction of the case since the cause of this custody case was the abduction of minor on 4.8.2008 by her was in delhi only and my daughter was residing in delhi by birth and i have filled the case in 2 months time after the abduction and she just want to waiste time in this matter .thanks

i am married 8 months back , i am staying with my parents and my wife , 2 months back my wife went to her parents house, now my in-laws are forcing me to leave my parents and then only they will send my wife back to my house , when i told no (as my parents are very old and cannot take care of themseleves)they are threating me of dowry cases.i cannt leave my parents at any cost, can anyone suggest me what should i do at this stage ?

LIVING WILL/LEGAL DOCUMENT
I want to make a legal document fixing my wife and children as beneficiaries for the immovable and movable properties and that other than the above beneficiaries no other person including my father and other blood relations like brother and sister have right in claiming the property whether I am alive or after my death. Presently the immovable property is under bank loan. The legal document should be such that even I should not claim right on the property once it is legally documented in the name of the above beneficiers and handed over to them. Please advice is there any provision to make such a document if so name of the document and I shall be thankful if you could send me a format. Also let me know whether such document should be registered or just mere posessing the document will suffice so that no body would have claim on the property. Thank you plese reply me.
