Isn't it that the case that can be filed in consumer court can also be filed in civil court?
I guess the answer is yes. Then what are the (dis-)advantages of one over the other in terms of following:-
cost of the case
simplicity of procedure
which one is faster?
Should people approach consumer court wherever possible?

I awailed loan from x and i gave M.O.U stating that my flat is offered as collataeral secuirity and I have given a promisory note and blank cheques later on I paid the amount and taken back my documents. Now Mr x has filed a suit staing that I have offered the flat which I have given as collateral secuirty for sale Mr x now filed petition asking me to producments through court in this case he issued any notice prio to filing of the production of the documents what defence I have got in this regar what are the judgements avialable to me I any body throws any light on this aspect I would great ful and thankful them

Dear All,
The Plaintiff/Woman had filed a suit for maintenance against the Defendant/Husband, whom I am defending.
It is for trail. Plainitiff as PW-1 filed her cheif Examination and the suit is adjourned for her Cross-Examination. It is the case of the Defendant that the Plaintiff deserted him and went to Dubai in between 2005-2008, but she has no where stated in her plaint of such fact, and moreover alleged that my client has neglected her during that period. I have placed a letter to Pass-Port Authority of Inida to give the details of pass port of Planitiff under RTI Act, bit they failed to comply with my request as above, this fact is orally braught to the notice of Judge sir, he asked her to surrender her Pass-Port before the Court orally, for which she replied that she dont have any Pass-Port. How could I proove that during the period of 2005-08 the plaintiff was at Dubai, without having any documentary evidence or any sort of help with Passport Authority. But it is crystal and clears that she is at Dubai.
Pls guide me.

I live in jaipur my agriculture land was acuquired by state govt. and 20% residential and 5%commercial land was given in return but again (provisonal allotment was done but no pakka patta was given) again govt for its jaipur metro project has issued notices to acquire the land given in compensation . govt. will not devlop this land but insted will give it to jaipur metro rail corporation its company to auction it . now what are the options available to me ,kindly suggest ,is there any landmark ruling or decision by any high court or supreme court which can be used in this reference.kindly mention any provision if any. earlier , agricultural land initially was acuquired after we withdrdaw from high court a case against the concerend authorities and in mutual agreement in written we were given compensation. do advice .
