Appearing in person

Thank you for the very prompt responses. However a few queries remain, viz.
I have a property case going on in Ranchi, Jharkhand. I have decided to appear in person and argue my case myself without any lawyer.
1. Who should I report about the sub juge refusing to hear me and what is the exact procedure laid down? JC or High Court?
2. Can I do anything to prevent him from passing an order without hearing me? How can I ensure that he does not do so till my complaint as stated above is disposed off?

Please help as I find the lawyers here most uninformed and in fact misleading!

Appearimng in person

I have a property case going on in Ranchi, Jharkhand. I have decided to appear in person and argue my case myself without any lawyer.
1. As I understand Order3 rule 1 of the CPC allows this, is there any bar or obstruction in doing so?
2. Why is the Sub judge insisting that I should engage a lawyer?
3. The judge is refusing to hear me or allow me to file petituons or even inspect the records - ordersheets etc? What can I do? Who should I report this to and what is the exact procedure laid down?
4. Can I do anything to prevent him from passing an order without hearing me? How can I ensure that he does not do so till my complaint as stated above is disposed off?

Please help as I find the lawyers here most uninformed and in fact misleading!

wat is the evidentiary value of municipal house tax assessment in Bonafide Requirement case in U.P. rent control act., the assessment submitted by opponent's shows from april 1999 to march 2004 that i m having my own shop (which is actually a garrage with shutter), how i defend??? any judgement/rulling against municipal house tax assessment????

Som Dutt and Ors. Vs. Jagdish Ram, 2006 (3) 144 PLR 163 ""says that entries in the municipal house tax assessment register is not a conclusive evidencce"

Bhagat Matu Ram (Died) vs Basati Ram Bhola on 5 August, 2005
Equivalent citations: (2006) 142 PLR 18
Author: H Gupta
Bench: H Gupta

para (5) """It is also well settled that entries in the house tax assessment register are the entries made by the Municipal authorities' on the basis of information gathered by them for the purpose of maintaining register for collection of house tax and by itself it cannot determine the jural relationship between the parties. Nothing can be said to be proved on the basis of entries in the house tax assessment register produced by the petitioner"""

BUT THESE ARE FOR FIXING RENT....

Defamation

I have two questions to ask.

1. There are four partners. A case is filed in Bombay High Court by a partner. The plaintiffs are firm and three partners and defendants are one partner and ex-employee.
Whether such a case can be filed? Here firm is plaintiff(Four Partners) and one of the defendants is a partner along with ex-employee. whether such a case can be filed? Is it legal? if yes why?

2.In the case of defamation, what should be
proved to get the compensation?
Generally how much time it takes to
get the judgement from the court? I am from Mumbai.

Getting problem in applying for a duplicate share certificate

i have approched the society for the transmission of share certificate on my name after the death of my father, as my both the parents are separeted in my childhood and i am the only one son behind him. but i am living with my mother. he has nominated me as a nominee for this flat. however i do not have the original share certificate with me. i approched society for a duplicate share certifcate but after delaying the matter for a long period by giving unreasonable excuses, secretary of the society told me that i should bring the original share certificate first and then apply, they will not grant me duplicate share certificate as my one aunt (my father's sister) wa living with him. he also told me that he will auction that flat. so need your advise that how to deal with such matter and get my flat on my name?
