Public Awareness of law is a big question mark in the society. Basic provisions of statutes in all branches of law can be put in a nut shell and publicized widely in the media as the Fourth Estate is the only tool to educate the masses. This idea was also amply depicted in a Tamil Movie titled "Tamizhan" where the hero (who is an advocate) pioneers hard to educate the masses about Fundamental laws governing the society and the results were amazing. Kapil Sibal who himself is an eminent jurist can made progressive educational reforms to even introduce law as compulsory subjects at the school level which will carve a big way in many reforms in the society. If the State expects each and every citizen to be law abiding, then latter should be educated or informed about basic statutes that govern our day to day life. Students read Biology in their schooling but all do not become doctors, students who are proficient in Mathematics but all do n't become Engineers, .... On the other hand LAW IS COMMON TO ALL. For which every citizen should be well versed with the fundamentals of Law. That is my prayer. Experts can also initiate other ideas to spread this message in a big way.

After death of my father, my brother has filed a declaration suit in civil court for declaring him owner of two floors by producing the will of our father. He has not gone for probate. Is the civil court has power to process the case though will has not got probated first.

there is a institute named central institute of psychiatry situated at Ranchi. this institute conduct an all india basis examination for PG courses every year.
in the year of 2010 in their Advertisement they mentioned 3% horizontal reservation for Physically candidate but in result ther not follow rule and not give any PG seat to any PH candiadte.last date of admission is 31st May.
on asking to one local lawyer he replied that this year nothing will happen because court will not give stay order because of less number of PH candidates and on filing case in court judgement will be very late and most probably court will say that because admission is occured so no body will expailed from coure and reservation of PH candidate will be follow in next year.
so is there still any hope appling this rule in this year

I have purchased stilt parking from builder with Rs 80,000/- for which he has given be allotment letter with receipt.
Now society is charging Parking charge ?
which is Ra 75 while for Open parking it is Rs 100. Is this justified?.
Twice my car has been damaged by childrens around. Can i coverup the stilt parking in order to protect the vechile ?.
Is there any specific rule for charging parking charges.

what is the risk/probability of infection of AIDS by an infected needle lying/placed in a public place?
I know that LCI is mainly a legal fraternity. However people like Dr.SanatKumar are active members here. As such i raised this issue.
Nowadays,many of us are receiving many emails in this regard.
I Hope someone from the medical community clarifies the possibility,eventhough,it is a known facts that AIDS virus cannot survive long in atmosphere.

A customer of a bank has forget to receive/collect his cheque of Rs.25,000/00 (which was dishonoured) which was deposited by him and he forget to get back from bank till 2 months.
After two months he had filed complain of Rs.3,00,000
What can be done by bank ?
Whose responsibility for the cheque ? Whether customer should get deemand for cheque or Bank should send to customer ?

Of Late, there is increasing number of fate appointment offers posted without revealing the bonafide identity of the employers in email accounts of unemployment youth luring them with false pay packets. Conditions are imposed as to payment of huge sum to comply with formalities related to visa and employment contracts. Bio Data and CV are being extracted from the official websites of even bonafide employment agencies from the net. What are the legal provisions available for the affect parties?

LCI has membership in excess of 58K as on date and from my short experience in this forum (being enrolled only during the Mid Jan 2010), I find there are few experts in the law fraternity who proactively and intellectually participate in all the debates raised in the online forum which is an indication as to the minor percentage of tech-savvy advocates in the country. Please correct me if I am wrong. All of us should fully support the visionary efforts of LCI so that our next generation lawyers are fully geared up to face any professional challenges on the long run.
