hi,
1. I'm an army officer posted at Jabalpur(Madhya Pradesh). In October 2008, I purchased a Sony Handy cam from the showroom of Sony products in Jabalpur. At the time of purchase, I was told that the product has a warranty period of three years. Subsequently, the same thing was mentioned to me by one of the service centres of Sony India in Jabalpur. I believed them on both the occasions. However, over a period of time I discovered that nothing of that sort is mentioned anywhere on the documents. In fact the period of warranty is not mentioned on the warranty card. Now I have asked my query regarding the period of warranty from Sony India.com. In addition, the service support of Sony service centres has been atrocious. As a result , now i formally want to lodge a consumer complaint with the consumer forum/court.
2. If, the period of warranty turns out to be three years on confirmation by Sony India.com, I would be well within my rights to file a consumer complaint. However, I'm likely to get my posting in next 5 to 6 months. At the same time, I don't want to miss an opportunity to file consumer complaint well within the service period.
3. Now, I have got two fold queries as under:-
(a) What is the procedure for lodging a consumer complaint?
(b) Since, I'm likely to get posted out in next 5 to 6 months, do I have the option to get the casetransferred to another court nearby or within the city where I get my next posting? If there exists, any provisions for such transfer then,what is the procedure for the same and what is the timeframe in normal circumstances for transfer of such cases?

hi, can you please let me know if we can nominate any friend/relative of ours to attend court in our place(other than my lawyer filing petition) if i am moving out of state/country during court attending dates.
whats the procedure ?

Father of my friend mrt with an accident. Actually he was travelling in the bus, he kept his hand on the rod of the bus window. The DCM coming from the opposite side has serious injured his right hand, and unfortunately his right hand has been cut down. now he is handicap, he is only the earning member of the family. wife, son and daughter are the dependent. monthly income is 7000. childrens are still studing and major. what will the quantum of the compensation and how much time will it take to complete legal proceeding. If it will take more time, is there any other solution for quick compensation, as he has no other source of incoming because he lost his right hand. pls help

a)If Companies paying ex-gratia to employees(as per agreement with labour union),will the payment of bonus act be applicable?
b)If the payment of bonus act is not applicable; which act will be applicable??
c)Can ex-gratia be paid to workers and executive staff??

If a private company borrows from individual (other than its directors, relatives, or shareholders) violating section 3 1(iii) of the Act, it will attract section 58A, what is the consequence of it?

we have borrowed rs 30 lac from a firm and also given him cheques. due to some circumstances we were failed and cheques were dishonoured and the party has filed a case on me in ni act sec 138 now we want to pay the amount to the party in instalments but he refused to take payment.if we make him payment 2 lac monthly what will happen

Respected experts,
In one section of our State Education Act it appeared that
"ENQUIRY AND PROCEEDINGS:-All proceedings or enquiries before the tribunal shall be deemed to be judicial proceedings within the meaning of sections 193,219 and 288 of the Indian Panel Code,(1860Central Act of45 of 1860)."
-is this o.k.??
-My idea is that insist of 288 it should be 228 of IPC or something else.-is am right???

The lower court has passed its order in Hindi and to challenge the same, I need to get it translated in English. From where can I get these translated in Delhi? Do we need some official translation? Please let me know.

a trust objects charity, education and other reliefs for the public created in 1972 by a deed of declaration of trust registered as document in district registrar office in pondicherry. power of alienation of trust properties not defined. the founder later under her will bequeathed further properties to the trust and give power to sell only specific properties. the founder died long ago. in this situation what is the lawful procedure for sale of the properties by the trustee esspecially the properties other than permitted for sale by the founder. can a sole trustee alone execute the sale. that too through an agent. no details of other trustees, any resolution, minutes etc is given in the sale deed. it is learnt that the pondicherry collector another corrupt guy had issued permission for sale. how far is it valid before law.
