I purchased one piece of land in Kolkata, India three years back. Around one and half years back, I appointed one contractor for constructing a house on that land. Though he was supposed to handover the completed house within one year, but he failed to do so in one and half year. My question is:
1. Can we take possession of house without contractor's consent?
2. If we do so, will it be treated as illegal, and can he evict us with legal help?

The land in front of my house is government land, but my neighborer has illegally occupied it and also partially covered it constructing a wall. This wall is in front of my house door which is very inconvenient for us. In this regard a case was filed by my father 4 years ago in a local court but result is....date on date ...date on date ...How can we get quick judgement on this issue from the court?...kindly suggest.

Respected Sirs,
Mr.A,Mr.B and Mr.C has carrying a partnership business at the tenanted premises. The landlord of the said premises is Mr.X. Rent receipt has been in the name of Firm, consist of Mr.A,B & C as partners. After some time Mr.A dies and in his place, his son (Mr.D) has been admitted in the business. But no intimation has been given to landlord regarding the death of Mr.A and admission of the Mr.D as a partner. The rent receipt remain in the name of same old firm consist of Mr.A,B & C as partner. This continues for 25 years. After 25 years the firm dissolved. On the distribution of all the assets, it has been agreed by all that the said office premises will be given to Mr.D (a son of deceased Mr.A). Howevevr, in the records of the landlord and also on the rent receipt name of Mr.D has not been mentiond for a long period of 25 years. Now Mr.E, who is a brother of Mr.D (and a second son of deceased Mr.A) has claimed that his name should be included as a co-tenant along with Mr.D, as in the records of the landlord, Mr.A (his father) is mentioned and Mr.B and Mr.C has surrender their rights related to said office premises. Sir, please advise me on the claim of Mr.E to include his name as a co-tenant.
Thanks.

My friend is intending to purchase a piece of land in rural Maharashtra.During preliminary negotiation , vendor told that he had decided to sale land to one purchaser at certain rate.He had accepted Rs 2, 00.000/- from said purchaser as a token in cash. However due to inability of purchaser to garner total amount , deal could not be finalised.
My question is that does earlier purchaser has any claim on land by way of suit?
What formalities should i complete to avoid further litigation?
Any case law similar to the fact stated above?
