Nomination and wealth tax

My elderly mother is the sole owner of a new flat for which she now needs to make a nomination to the CHS, and consistent with that, a codicil for her will.

I and my wife each have another house. Hence if my mother nominated one/ both of us, after my mother's death we would have to pay /pay more wealth tax.

I and my wife are not keen to have it nominated solely to my only son, who is still in college. My questions:

1) Would a nomination by my mother to [my son 50% and me 50%] OR [my son, me, my wife 33% each] make me/my wife liable liable for wealth tax?

2) What about sole nomination to my son and life interest to me and my wife? Does this keep me and my wife out of wealth tax?

Thanks

Dispute

I (alongwith my family) am living in a joint family with my father, and my brother (alogwith his family). The house is in the name of my father. My father is very old and on bed. I stay out of house for work and brother and his family are always at home. I am concerned that my brother or someone from his family may get a will signed by father for the property or any other asset of my father because till now everything is common. Please advise what remedy should I take so even if he is successful in getting it done, i can defend myself.

Also my brother while living in joint house has made 3 properties in his own name out of which he has also sold one. Is there any way I can get that to be treated as common property.

Further, my nephew (brother's son) beat me up yesterday and I am concerned that there could be quarrel again so what remedial action should I take for example, FIR etc. so tomorrow I am a legal position where I could defend myself

Right of share

Hi,
I bought a property from my personal income in my own name or in my wife name.

My brother says that since we are joint family(though we don't live together), the property bought by me is a common property.

Please note that, there is no partition happen so far between me, my brother & my father.

Does he have a right to claim share in properties bought through my income by me in my own name or in my wife name?

Thanks in advance for your answers.
