Bar council of india and icsi

If a person who is registered with Bar council as an Advocate, can he obtain membership of ICSI after completing CS Course.

Bar Council would only Encourage Further Studies and Further Education of any Choice. Having an Law Degree would be additional Merit for an CS. Many CS could be found with an Law Degree. When you start practicing as CS proper information should be made to concerned Bar Council. That's it. All the Best

You can pursue CS course as practicing lawyer, if ICSI rules permit.

According to the guidelines, you only can practice in one field you cannot practice as an advocate and in the meantime as a CS in a company.

As per rules you can't practice as an advocate and c.s simultaneously.

Can you please let me know the provision in Advocates Act, 1961 wherein a practicing lawyer is restrained to pursue company secretary course ?

Lawyer can study / undertake course, can not become member of ICSI.
