Bail bond and surity

Guest (Querist) 13 November 2011 This query is : Resolved
What is the difference between bail bond and surity ?

What does it mean, when accused forfeits bailbond ?
Shonee Kapoor (Expert) 13 November 2011
Bail Bond is the bond submitted in court by the accused and the surety.
Surety is the person who fills the above bond if it is demanded.

The accused forfiets the said amount to government if he fails to turn up for court dates.
