Arrest of a chatered accountant

Whether a chartered Account has got any immunity against arrest.
Whether a CA Cooperating with police & joining all investigations regarding his role & profession etc. can be arrested without any evidence against him merely on a statement of main accused for whom he is a CA

Prima facie, NO... there is no immunity against arrest,
no question of evidence is req initially as it can b under-doubt n on the basis of complainant complaint.

well no one cna claim immunity from arrest because he is lawyer , Chartered accountant .

the police will arrest CA only if it has evidence against him . besides the statement police must have unearthed some other evidence

Seems to be a repeated query with some modification of question.

However, CA does not have any immunity against arrest. Police can arrest him even on doubt of having been involved in an economic offence or other crime in any organisation.

No immunity is provided in law to any person.

thank you all of you. I will appreciate aif I can get the replies with sections etc. to argue the case for bail.The main acused has not yet applied for bail. But the director of his company has got anticipatory bail on 13.9.2011. a few points for solid arguments towards securing bail are solicited. Please extend expertised comments.
