Can we appoint Non Executive Director as President of the Company? What is the exact meaning of President?

Dear Sirs,

My query is not academic. We want to appoint a person as Non executive director in our company and also want to give him the designation of President. His duties will be as delegated by the Board through Board resolution.

Can we do this? Is there any issue involved? and hoe can we do this.?

You can do that.. but the basic draft of the company formation terms about the appointment of such position has to be seen or may be the articles or past resolutions regarding the same.
