Dear All
We would like to appoint auditors for a public charitable trust.
Please let me know the procedure. Unlike, under companies act, is
there any requirment for trusts for re-appointment of auditors every
year.
Pl. suggest the procedure involved. As per the Trust deed, Board has
the power to appoint auditors.

The appointment, tenure and removal of the auditors are governed by the byelaws of your trust. There is no specific procedure prescribed in law for such appointment of auditors by a trust. The board of trustees may pass a resolution and appoint an auditor, the appointment needs to be conveyed to the auditor and accepted by him.
