defendent request for setting aside exparte proceedings was conceded subject to costs. can he again seek adjornments or seek on flimsy grounds or avoid attending court as he did earlier to delay case further leading to ex parte proceedings. how many times he can get aside exparte proceedings

There is no such law to check such tendencies but definitely if the plaintiff is vigilant then court can take strict action against such defendant and may not set aside ex-parte proceeding initiated against him.
