what is the rule to fix Alimony in a divorce case. can court fix Alimony even though the wife fails to prove her allegations in the court?

Generally speaking if the wife is unable to maintain herself from her own income, she is entitled to alimony. However, it all depends upon the facts of the case and the ground on which divorce is granted.

Many factors have to be taken into consideration while deciding the amount of permanent alimony like income of both spouse, their liabilities, their necessities, future prospects of earning/liability, cost of living etc.
