if suppose i give cheque to somebody that person without presenting the cheque in bank can do the criminal case of 420 on me.

i think this is only be of 138 that to after when cheque is returned.

Incomplete information.

There is no crime in issuance of cheque till it gets dishonoured. The cause of action starts on being dishonoured and the "holder in due course" has the option to proceed u/s 420 IPC, if so desire.
