a broken business deal was settled on mutual consent and trust by giving POA to one another till time settles the encumbrances.the other party had breached the arrangement and started using the POA. trouble brewed and the other party came to my office and made criminally binding statements against the encumbering party and made me feel & insinuating as though to third party the threats to me.he cancelled the POA & likewise, I did.the entire episode has been recorded on video.two days later, while I was coming out of my Bank after operating my locker, I was surrounded by 4-5 men in front of my car parked in front of the banks ATM, being suspicious and holding my family jewels, i shouted for the security guard and dashed back into the bank and one person followed suit and the bank staffs reaction deterred him.100 call made from bank & responded. Surprisingly, local police station are lethargic.i am told that nothing can be done by me since all these cannot be made out, since no crime has been committed. one of the miscreants is the person who came to my office.are there not any way that i can bring to justice the culprits in the wake of non action by police.

The incident seems to have caused offence atleast u/s 341,352,393,34 of IPC. You can lodge a complaint u/s 156(3) of Crpc. The Police will act on direction of the Magistrate. Take help of a local lawyer.

You should approach to the higher police officials as crime has already been made by making threat and trying to commit further offence.

Thank you Raj Kumar & Devajyoti. I will send a complaint to the Commissioner & if nothing happens, I will make 156(3) complaint to Magistrate. How long should I wait & would it not amount to concealment & abetting by not exposing the information that I know on a threat made on a third party?

I made complaint to court today under sec. 200 R/W 156 CRPC and was sent by the magistrate to the concerned police station. and guess what, the accused had gone to my house tonight with another rowdy and threatened my elderly in-laws using filthy words and also to do me away and spat at my in-laws. Frightened they called me and i phoned 100 for rescue. i also called the local police station and as i was near the Asst. Commissioners office, i rushed to him for help and complain. i went back home and after reassuring my family,went to the police station to lodge a complaint and obtained a receipt. Apparently, the Inspector still behaved lethargically even with 156 complaint and 100 distress call made nor with instructions from AC of Police. Who do i turn to and what options do i have?
